An accredited PR professional, Sultana is a Communications Officer for The Pew Charitable Trusts, managing media relations and strategic communications efforts for researchers and experts on consumer finance issues. She previously served as the Director of Public Relations at Liquidity Services, Inc., a publicly-traded, global solutions provider in the reverse supply chain. Prior to that, Sultana worked at Ketchum PR’s Washington, D.C. office as an Account Supervisor. At Ketchum, she worked with the Federal government on health care issues and provided PR counsel and Corporate Social Responsibility strategy for Alka-Seltzer (Bayer) and FedEx, among other leading companies. She is currently serving as the President of PRSA-NCC, the nation’s largest chapter of public relations professionals, where she was first elected to its board of directors in 2012. Sultana is a former national board member of UNA-USA, which advocates for the ideals and work of the United Nations, and serves on the Communications Committee for the DC-chapter, UNA-NCA. She previously ran the Orlando UNA-USA chapter and served on the boards for the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) and Harbor House of Central Florida, chairing the PR committees. She previously volunteered with the Smithsonian National Zoo and the DC Chapter of Room to Read. She also previously chaired the PR/events committee for the board of the Fort Dupont Ice Arena, a historic DC skating rink that provides programs for disadvantaged students. Sultana has been honored with a UNA-USA Global Young Advocate Award, the WRC Junior Summit Award, the Girl Scout Council’s Young Woman of Distinction, and was named one of Central Florida’s “13 Shining Stars” by Central Florida News 13 for her role in mentoring youth since 2000. She received her Master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University and was a Walt Disney Scholar at the University of Central Florida where she received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a focus on International Business. She has spoken to diverse audiences of all ages and walks of life at venues from the United Nations to the Winter Park Elk’s Lodge on leadership development, strategic communications, and the importance of serving others.
