Doug Simon is CEO of influencer marketing firm D S Simon Media. The firm specializes in using video to turn an organization’s leaders into influencers. He’s provided strategic counsel and executed campaigns for leading non-profits and brands including the US Green Building Council, American College of Physicians, Consumer Technology Association, Whitney Museum of American Art, FIRST Robotics Competition, Panasonic, Pfizer, Fidelity, Macy’s and LEGOLAND California Resorts. His firm has won more than 100 industry awards since it was founded more than 30 years ago.
Doug began his career in broadcasting as talent assistant to Bob Costas at NBC Sports. He is a Guest Lecturer at the Annenberg School of Strategic Public Relations at USC and New York University’s Graduate communications program. Doug is former VP of PRSA NY Chapter and he was a three-time president of the Publicity Club of New York.
Television appearances include Reuters, Dateline NBC, PBS, CNN, Fox News Live and WNBC. He’s appeared on NPR and been quoted in USA Today and written for HuffPost. He’s been among the top ranked speakers at multiple conferences including PRSA International, PR News, Publicity Club of New York, Bulldog Reporter, Capitol Communicator, Women & Co and many others. He has provided expert testimony on communications issues during US Senate hearings and founded the award-winning video blog Vlogviews.com.
Doug graduated from the University of Michigan. His hobbies include performing stand-up comedy at New York’s top clubs and rooting for terrible sports teams including the Jets and Knicks while still remaining optimistic.
