In January 2014, George joined Banner Public Affairs from FleishmanHillard where he led the Washington, DC office’s Corporate Reputation Management and Public Affairs divisions.
During his nearly 17-year career at FleishmanHillard, George orchestrated integrated business-to-government (B2G) communications campaigns, which used a combination of media relations, public affairs, digital/social media, and third party mobilization, for companies selling products and services to the public sector. Beyond his government and defense industry client work, George has served as strategic communications counsel for a broad range of corporate technology, professional services companies and government clients in the U.S., Europe and throughout the Middle East. In 2001, George took on a temporary assignment in London to manage Nortel Networks’ Pan-European strategic media relations. George has a B.A. (Political Science) from the College of Wooster in Ohio and completed his undergraduate theses on nuclear non-proliferation economics and policy.
